Dubai Palm Island - Design

The three islands will be constructed in the shape of palm trees with 17 branches around each of them. A reef that is 7.5 miles long and 3 miles width will surround these branches. There will be 990 feet bridges that will connect the branches to the mainland. Two harbors will also be constructed so that you can also commute on boats.

The entire area of the Jebel Ali palm island is 80000000 cubic meters. Palm Jumeira is not as large as the other two while Palm Deira is the largest of the three. You may find it interesting that Palm Jebel Ali will have an Arabic verse inscribed in landmass around it.

Dubai Palm Island - Features

The Palm Island will be the perfect retreat for not just your holidays but for your everyday lives as well. You will find coastal residences, water homes, luxurious villas and sophisticated hotels to stay on the Palm.

With the creation of The World Dubai, the map of Dubai, and for that matter the entire globe, will never gain be the same. Dubai has attempted to change the face of the earth with the establishment of a group of islands called The World Dubai.

This man-made group of islands is a replica of the world map. The World is still under construction.

The Dubai World is being developed by the Al Nakheel Properties. It has been initiated under the able guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum, the prince of the UAE.

Location & Design

The World Dubai will be located at the longitude of 55„a East and the latitude of 25„a North and will 4 KM away from the Jumeira coast.

You will not find this group of islands very far from Royal Mirage, Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi Water Park, Jumeira Mosque and Emirates Towers, and you can reach it conveniently from all these places along the Dubai coast via the air or the sea.

The entire group will stretch over an area of 54 square kilometers. You will find an oval breakwater around The World.

The World Dubai - Plan

You will see that The World will assume the shapes of the various continents on the globe. All the continents are to be further broken up into several islands.

You will be able to find 300 private islands grouped under four headings namely- estates, resorts, personal homes and community islands. The areas of these islands could be anything between 250000 to 900000 square feet.

You will find a stretch of water ranging from 50 meters to 100 meters separating each individual island from the other.
